Queen Siam Basil: This is a “best-of-the-best” form of basil that has a a licorice flavor when cooking  - try adding it to curry recipes. Be sure to harvest regularly and remove flowers to keep leaf production going.

Lemon Basil:  Very flavorful and fragrant, thanks to 75% more total essential oils than standard lemon basils. Especially tasty in dressings and marinades.

Opal Basil: Dark reddish/purple stems and leaves. Excellent as a garnish, in salads, or for adding color to basil vinegars. Very uniform, all purple Italian strain. Annual.

Italian (Leaf) Basil: Large Leaf basil is considered the best for true Neapolitan recipes, especially pesto. This plant is a warrior in the garden, where it repels pests. Italian basil, plants grow to a small mound for a continuous harvest. Does well in pots and deck boxes.
